报告人简介:

Dr. Ikram Khan is a Pakistani scientist specializing in Genetics and Microbiology, with a strong focus on the human microbiome and its implications for disease. He completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship in Genetics at Lanzhou University, China, in 2025, following a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the same university in 2022 and a Master’s degree in Genetics from Hazara University, Pakistan, in 2017.

Dr. Khan’s research focuses on the interactions between blood, gut, and oral microbiomes and their metabolites, examining their associations with cardiovascular diseases, periodontal disease, and ulcerative colitis. His work combines advanced molecular and multi-omics approaches to investigate host–microbe dynamics and identify microbial and metabolic markers linked to disease mechanisms.

He has published multiple papers in high-impact, peer-reviewed SCI journals and actively contributes to advancing microbiome research through interdisciplinary collaborations. His academic trajectory reflects a commitment to uncovering microbial mechanisms underlying complex diseases and translating these insights into potential diagnostic and therapeutic applications.
